What is HelioPIXS?
What is HelioPIXS?
Well, we're glad you asked! We're a small, family-owned business based in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
HelioPIXS was born out of a simple idea: to bring our most meaningful memories out of the depths of our phones and back into our everyday lives.
And it all started because our founder, Erica, had way too many photos on her phone (we’re talking thousands). Most of them were screenshots or duplicates… and the ones that actually meant something? Totally buried. She was finding it hard to find, let alone, reconnect with her favourite memories — the ones that made her smile, laugh, or tear up in the best way.
So, she started turning her most meaningful photos into magnets. Something simple, fun, and creative to put around the house — so those little moments she loved weren’t stuck in a digital void, but part of her day again.
What began as a personal project quickly turned into something more: a way to help others re-experience their best moments. At HelioPIXS, we believe those moments deserve to be seen, felt, and celebrated everyday, not buried deep in your camera roll rarely to be re-visited.

Why are you called HelioPIXS?

Ah, if we got a dollar every time someone asked us this 😉. HelioPIXS is a nod to both the past and present, blending the magic of old-school photography with the convenience of modern tech:
"Helio" is a nod to heliography which is the process used to take the world’s very first surviving photograph back in 1826. It’s our way of tipping the hat to the roots of photography and the timelessness of printed images.
"PIXS" is a playful spin on pixels, the tiny building blocks of today’s digital photos. And of course, a casual way of saying “pics” or “pictures.”

All orders with a set of 6 photo magnets ship free! If you order less than 6 magnets, shipping will be calculated at check-out.

Good question! That depends on the destination:
- For the U.S., orders are generally delivered within 2 - 6 business days from the date of shipment
- For Canada, orders are generally delivered within 2 - 8 business days from the date of shipment.
A quick heads up that those are approximate timelines given to us by our partner carriers and we unfortunately can’t guarantee shipping timelines as they can be affected by factors beyond our control.

We accept all major credit cards, GPay and Apple Pay.

All orders are processed and made within 2 business days. A quick heads up that orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or holidays. If we’re experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. But don’t worry, we’ll let you know by e-mail if that’s the case.

Great question and we’re just as excited for you to receive your order! We aim to get your order processed, made and shipped within 2 business days.
From there, it'll depend on where you're based:
- For the U.S., orders are generally delivered within 2 - 6 business days from the date of shipment so you can expect to receive your order within 8 business days.
- For Canada, orders are generally delivered within 2 - 8 business days from the date of shipment so you can expect to receive your order within 10 business days.

Great question! We're just as excited for you to receive your order as you are. As soon as your order has been shipped, we’ll provide you with either a shipment ID or a carrier tracking number by e-mail.

Ah yes, a very important question. We’re a proudly Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia and use primarily materials and labour that are North American in origin. If you’re based in the U.S., you may get charged customs/ duties. As much as we would like to absorb those costs, it’s not feasible for a small business like ours. As a result, you are responsible for covering any fees imposed once your order leaves our site.
